Former Wings player named 1st Team All-American

Brandon Corday, a former Wilmette Wing, was recently named First Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Brandon is a junior at Franklin & Marshall in Pennslyvania. As a team captain, Brandon scored 12 goals for the 13-4-3 Diplomats this fall.

Corday played for the Wilmette Wings for four years before going on to play for Niles Township High School. Brandon was coached by Gerry Canavan and Lane Corday (his father and a current coach for the U12 Premier Boys) up to the U14 age level. Brandon was named to Illinois' All-State and the Midwest All-Regional team as a senior in high school while serving as an assistant coach with the Wings.

As his college coach says, "This is an amazing accomplishment. Brandon worked harder than any athlete I have encountered in my coaching career, and he truly earned this honor."

Brandon Corday is certainly a role model for current Wings players. Work hard and good things can happen!

Congratulations Brandon! The Wilmette Wings are Proud of You!
