Soccer Commmitment

The Wilmette Wings Soccer Club is seeking athletic boys and girls with an enthusiasm for soccer and a willingness to commit time and energy to grow in the game. Attending practices, games and tournaments is expected and should be taken seriously so that individual players and teams can develop to their fullest potential.

Fall Season (late August – Mid November)
Two mandatory 90 minute weekly training sessions, 8 league games.

Winter Training & Indoor Soccer (January-March)
All teams - One mandatory 60 minute weekly team training session, 8-10 indoor league games.  (There maybe 1 or 2 winter league games during December depending on which league teams are signed up for)

Spring Season (April – Mid June)
Two mandatory 90 minute weekly training sessions, 8 league games.

Summer Training (August)
One week pre-season training camp.  (Optional)

Tournament Play

Teams will participate in at least one tournament per year which is covered by annual membership fees.  Certain age groups and Premier Teams will attend one to two additional tournaments covered by annual membership fees.  Attendance to additional tournaments may be recommended by the coach or directors and teams may opt to participate at additional cost.

The Wings home fields are located at the Community Playfields behind Wilmette Jr. High, Avoca Fields, behind Marie Murphy Jr. High, West Park, just west of I-94 on Lake and Howard Park, at the corner of Lake and Ridge.  Most practices and home outdoor league games take place at these locations. The remaining games require travel to locations in the Chicagoland area.
